Powermock maven setup
You're using Before which is junit4 annotation.. Also, your import for Test are from junit4 but not from junit5 That should be org. As your link suggests, still you can't do power mock stuff with junit-5 directly, simply because there's no PowerMockRunner Extension still available for junit Here, note that you are using when of mockito by import static org.

There is no code throwing exceptions. I have looked through the source of powermock-module-junit4 and powermock-api-mockito and I cannot see the PrepareForTest annotation. Can you tell me what jar contains PrepareForTest in version 1.
However, since you can chase the same transitive dependencies from powermock-api-mockito in your question, it looks like maybe you set up Eclipse in such a way that transitive Maven dependencies aren't being pulled in. We'd need to know a little more about your Eclipse setup before figuring out that part, though. Jeff's answer is still correct based on the information we have.
Were you ever able to get past this issue? Line Those two were fine, but the text edits were too far for me--punctuation was incorrect and TestNG details made the answer harder to follow--and I had no "improve" or "partially accept" buttton, just "reject". Though your edit had other approvers, there was at least one other reviewer who rejected for the same reason, and your edit log likely shows that full text reason.
