Public trackers will have most popular games, so you shouldn't have difficulties Googling one.
Simply enter "sims 3 torrent" into the Google search. When you are looking at a torrent tracker page, you will see a Seeders S and Leechers L column.
The more seeders there are, the stronger your connection will be and the faster you will get the file. If there are significantly more leechers than seeders, the file may take a while to download. Read the comments for the torrent. This will help you determine if it contains any viruses, as torrents are a popular way to spread them. I had a look in person in a few of the shops to get a good number of the packs and then was able to get the remainder online:.
Thanks so much! I hope they help a lot of people though. I bought UC off of Ebay. You might be okay Abby. I guess it just depends on the seller. They can lock you out of those accounts at any time. The good news is if you do lose access, you will at least still have all your game content on your computer. Good luck! When you say you still have the game content on the computer, how do you use it without loging into origin?
Or do I need to buy a hard copy and the content will come up? Ugh what a happy day that was. Thanks Jacob!! Such a happy day! I wish they would bring it back.
Before you could launch it without the origin client once you installed it from origin, now the client is mandatory. Notify me of follow-up comments by email. Notify me of new posts by email. Buy it on Ebay Ebay is another good place to find used copies of The Sims 2 — and often at a lower price than on Amazon too. Here are some tips to help you find the best deal without getting ripped off: Make sure the disc you buy includes the CD key. You have to enter the key to install the game on your computer. Buy Bundles to get more for your money. Digital versions do not exist.
Look for good quality used discs. Hi Cindy If you know of anyone who wants the Sims2 I thought I should let you know I will be looking to sell my complete disc collection. Just thought this might be helpful. Thanks for sharing that info! Very informative. Hi Cindy, I have a hard copy of my sims2 double deluxe … unfortunately, my code is no longer any good. If you purchase a CD from ebay etc.
Prevents a random mutated color from being chosen. Environment Mods These are mods that affect the environment in some way. Makes the environment and the Sims look so much nicer, plus gets rid of that awful bloom in the default lighting.
I use the St. Enchanted Environment — Replaces the EA sun, moon, clouds, rainbow, stars, snow, frozen pond texture, and snowy footprints with much nicer versions. Mod is no longer available from the creator. Download directly from my Mediafire. Always Put Books Away — Makes Sims more likely to put books away instead of leaving them sitting around. You will need to register an account at Sims Asylum to download.
Moar Interactions — Adds new interactions and fixes some of the EA ones. No or Fewer Automatic Memories — This mod stops the memory scrapbook from filling up with useless memories. OMSPs — One more slot, please. Use to add more decorations and clutter to surfaces.
Porter — Allows you to pack and move your family to new worlds while keeping jobs and relationships intact. Realistically Slower Cars — Slows down all vehicles to a realistic speed in-game.
Relativity — This mod can be tuned to change the speed at which time flows during the course of a sim-day. Tagger — Overhauls the map tagging system. Time Shifter — Allows you to set the time of day, similar to the set hour cheat in Sims 2. Use with caution. Your entire neighborhood will be affected.
I mostly use it for taking screenshots if I need it to be night time or day time, etc. Money Mods These are mods that impact money or finance in the game. Minimum Wage — A mod to lower the pay of all Sims 3 Careers.
Tax Collector — This mod provides a way to manually collect Tax Money from your sims. Pose Mods These are the mods I use for posing my Sims in screenshots. Screenshot Backdrop — Color castable backdrop to take screenshots in front of a full bright color. Pregnancy Mods These are mods that affect pregnancies in the game. Pregnancy Progress Controller — This mod adds a set of pie menu Pregnancy Options to all sims teen and above, both human and pet.
It has a ton of functions choose sex of baby, terminate pregnancy, show status, etc. I use the Woohooer to enable teen pregnancies see Romance section below. Dresser — The mod adds accessories, body hair, makeup, and new hair to all sims. I found this mod incredibly annoying.
Retuned Attraction System — An overhaul of the in-game attraction system. Sleep Freedom — This mod overrides the EA requirement that teenagers be related to sleep in the same bed together. Woohooer — Adds risky woohoo, teen woohoo, and teen pregnancy. Also improves the romantic systems in the game. Shopping Mods Since shopping works differently in The Sims 3, I like using mods to add functionality such as shopping for clothes and selling things in player-owned shops.
No Fridge Shopping — This mod replaces the meal-making interactions on the fridge with custom ones that check whether the Sim has the required ingredients to make the meal or snack. Produce Stand — Allows your Sims to sell anything including produce and prepared food from their home lots.
Removes the ability to plan outfit from all dressers. This mod is obsolete if you have Into the Future. Shop from Inventory — Allows you to sell items you have assigned as the store inventory through hacked registers, so you can basically create any type of store or shop you like. Dreamer — This mod allows your Sims to satisfy unlocked dreams when their criteria is met.
If tuned, the mod will stop the timeout of unlocked dreams. Read the instructions carefully. This one requires some fiddling. Disable Hopscotch Wishes — Stops your Sims from getting the annoying wishes to play hopscotch all the time.
I noticed Awesome mod is not on the list. Hi Cindy, Thanks for making Sims 3 more enjoyable but how do you get the walfare payment?
Much love Reply. Thank you!! Thank you. And this may be controversial, but I liked the introduction of washing machines! While it's a great looking expansion pack, I often dealt with many glitches and lags that made it difficult to for me to play.
And while mermaids were an interesting touch, they seemed more of a hassle than part of necessary gameplay. Though when not glitchy, the additions of scuba diving, houseboats, lifeguarding, and the hotel system made for many hours of new play! Pets expansions have always been extremely popular in the Sims franchise ever since Sims Unleashed. The farm aesthetic is a nice addition and the introduction of horses and horse racing are innovative ideas, but personally pets are only a compelling feature for so long — especially when your cats love to scratch up all the furniture in the house.
The pets can become more chore than man's best friend at times. At least it's realistic in that sense! A personal favorite in the Stuff Pack department, High End Loft offers sleek and modern furniture, technology, and decor that were used very often in my Sims' homes. If one had to choose a single stuff pack, this would be the one I'd suggest.
The introduction of Showtime added a wide variety of professions, traits, and lifetime ambitions for your inner star, as well as some nice villa-inspired homes and decor. However, this pack works best when paired with other expansions, such as Late Night , and thus is generally weak on its own. In addition, Simport bars a number of players from accessing features if you do not play with others. While there is much more to do in this pack than other expansions, it's down the list for this reason.
I personally enjoy the magic and occult in the Sims franchise, and I feel that Sims 4 has strayed from that aspect of the games despite the release of Realm of Magic. While I do not always make fantasy-style Sims, I really enjoyed the attention to detail in clothing, hair, and furniture, and was able to incorporate them often in both magical and regular gameplay. The addition of new types of Sims into the third generation from fairy to witch were also a strong addition — save for the content zombie attacks, which hampered some of the fun.
Offering a variety of new professions, thanks to this pack one can now participate first-hand in their Sims' jobs, rather than drop them off at a rabbit hole. These jobs satisfy all types of players, from the design lovers in the architecture and stylist professions, to the more quirky and adventurous Simmers with the firefighting, ghost-hunting, and private investigator professions.
In my opinion this pack was really strong, though there were other expansion packs that offered more options for the Simmer to enjoy.
